Yesterday on my day off I decided to try my hand at altered CD's. Now this was fun!! I tore through an 1929 The American Home magazine and found this great advertisement for an RCA Radiola 60. The ad had these terrific art deco hand drawn dancers that I clipped. A little sheet music, a great background, some chalk, woven cording, some stamping and VOILA! I titled it "If You Play Your Cards Right". I'm kind of wondering how people display their altered CD's. Does anyone have any good ideas?BRRRR! Did I mention it's 30 degrees here in central maine? We're in this terrific melt then refreeze pattern. Joe Kupo says it we'll have a 50 degree heat wave by weekend. Yee ha!

I've never made an altered CD, or tried to display one...but my first instinct would be to place it in the center of an old frame or vintage try.....I'm sure I'll think of more!
Have fun at the co-op! I am so jealous...I have to bury myself in the studio all weekend!!!

today things were o.k.
instead of not speaking for days,
we both were happy to see each other the next day(not our usual M.O)...I think both of us would rather be a team and be optimistic together.. I'm seeing that things don't change all at once, but rather in spurts, sometimes with steps back and then forward again...I just hope we can keep moving forward together.
You must have meant so much to your kiddies. they must be proud of your artistic accomplishments.
Love the CD...I've never seen an altered CD...but what a special gift it would make...to combine some personally significant music cd with a unique message for the receiver. I like jes's suggestion.
what about displaying it somehow on the front of a photo album or maybe a CD case.(in a protective see-through pocket?)
